I own a Maytag Bravos(m/n:MVWB300W02) the only problem I’ve experienced was freeze damage fromstorage and replaced the water valve in Sep13. On Thursday I came home to atroubled wife stating the washer had a mind of its own during the wash cycle,as it would stop and after waiting awhile it could be restarted to resume normalwash cycle. When this load was finally completed I checked a few things (UserManual) and before I knew she had placed the last load into it. One thingduring my review was reset everything back to factory defaults. The last washcycle worked fine until it counted down to 12:00 minutes remaining thenstopped. This was how much time remained when I first arrived home, unitstopped and paused 2 more times until cycle was completed.

On Friday I scouredyou website for tips and tricks for those posts that were responded toconcerning my model. Armed with thisknowledge I found my diagnostics sheet and initiated the sequences outlinedknowing I would have confirmation soon, as I was thinking shift actuator. As listed I received no fault codes prior to entryof the automatic diagnostic test. Thistest successfully completed itself without any issues. Thinking perhaps I missed something I startedanother auto diagnostic sequence, again at the point to list fault codes nonewere displayed and I canceled test.

Is it possible to havea problem beginning without a fault code being registered?

I had a similar issuewith my diesel pickup where I had a problem but it took three occurrences untilit finally registered a fault code. I value the insight I discover on here an have used this site many times to resolve issues. Thank you in advance.
