Hello,
I have a Kenmore 11.24732300 Model 70 washing machine that just started banging around and knocking during the spin cycle.
I replaced the springs and that did nothing to fix the problem.
I hired a repairman to check it out and he says it is the transmission and not worth fixing. He diagnosed it by turning it on to the spin cycle and then holding the agitator. He said the machine should rip it out of his hand if the transmission was good.
All the research I've done says it is probably the drive block or the balance ring, but I don't know what to fix. Please help me as I think it is worth fixing, especially after looking at the prices of a new one.
Thanks in advance everyone.
