I put my washer on wash cycle and it works fine, however when it gets to the rinse cycle it just sits there with a humming noise and will not fill up with water and will not rinse. Any help?

check your cold water. in most machines now the rinse is in cold water only. so, when in wash (often in warm) the unit will fill; but unbeknownst to you, with hot water only. then it goes to rinse and you may hear the cold solenoid hum, but nothing enters and the timer just sits there waiting for the unit to fill....forever
