agitator
Model Number: lsb6200kq0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I just got my inlaws washer and dryer. I have narrowed down the problem to the cam dogs gone bad but I cannot get the upper and lower agitator appart to get to them. How do they come apart? Thanks!!

Click on your model number and you will see an exploded view of the agitator.
Take off the fabric softener dispenser and pull out the plastic cover and you will find a 7/16" bolt. Unscrew it with a socket wrench with an extension pieces and lift the top half the agitator off. Sometimes it is hard to get off because it is all gunked up with softener and detergent and lint and gunk, but it will come off.
