sometimes it will continuously drain at the begining of a wash but most of the time it will fill ,wash and spin. then when it gets to rinse cycle water runs continuously and drains as well. then if i move timer to final spin and let it cycle off and take timer back to the rinse cycle then it fills. some times it will complete a full wash no problem. could be a timer problem but also think it could be the valve in the pump sticking. what do you think?

The drain lines through the pump in your machine are open, there is no valve that shuts them off. The reason water does not run out of the machine is that the drain hose hooks into a drain that is higher than the washer tub.

In your case what is probably happening is that when the water drains after the wash cycle a siphon is created and the it continues to drain when it is trying to fill. You either have the drain hose too low in the drain pipe, or have taped or in some way blocked off the air around where the drain hose hooks into the drain.

Fix whatever it is and you should be all set.

the drain line was in the drain pipe to far. I corrected it and it works fine so far. thanks
