Model Number: WVSR1060A Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Cold water on my top loading GE Washer keeps running. Runs when the washer is "off" or on any other cycle. Whats wrong. Can I fix it myself.

If it won’t stop running when the washer is unplugged the water valve is bad. It is not hard to replace just cut the water off, unplug the washer and disconnect the fill hoses. Then take the control panel off by removing the screws at the top. Once done you should be able to access the water valve. Simply remove the wires and hoses then reinstall the new valve.
