My GE washer wont spin. I did the reset suggested on a video. Unplugging machine, open and closing lid 6 times. Worked for awhile, then quite. Everything else on washer works. Would it be the lid sensor, when I jiggle that ,it eventually works again.

Open the front panel and check the flashing LED on the motor inverter board for error code when washer fails to spin again. LED is on right side of board, may be flashing green or red. If red, may be under flap on right side of board. When there are no errors, it will flash on/off at 1/2 second intervals continuously. If there is an error, it will flash faster and the number of flashes is the error number. If there's an error 3, it will flash 3 times, then pause, then repeat. I don't think the problem is the lid switch as that would also cause problems with the agitation cycle.

I tried that. The LED light is flashing properly. Also, I failed to mention, the tub continues to spin with lid open

Ok, well, if it continues to spin with lid open, then it's spinning. I thought the problem was that it wouldn't spin and I asked to check the LED when the washer failed to spin. If it's spinning, it's not going to throw an error code. You may have an intermittent lid switch. The inverter monitors the lid switch and if it does not detect an opening/closing after two wash cycles it will disable the motor. There is a discrepancy between the parts diagram and the parts list with regards to the lid switch. Is yours a magnetic type or mechanical? diagram shows mechanical, list shows magnetic. Here is link to magnetic switch which is what I think you have. GE WH12X10334 Lid Switch Asm - AppliancePartsPros.comEric

A 7 flash error code is a lid switch problem. Does your washer have the magnetic switch or mechanical type? I posted a link previously to the magnetic type.
