This is an old belt drive washer that has been working fine, but has started shaking/banging violently. Even still, it washes fine. I've taken the front off-- the springs and struts appear okay. This washer has always had a grease leak underneath-- I guess there's a bad seal. So, the belts and pulleys are greasy. Advice? Do I change out the belts, as was suggested to another user? Do I just clean the grease? It's probably been greasy under there for years, whereas, the shaking is pretty new.
