Washer door started making a bad noise when closing door. Inspection revealed the door hoop ramp crumbling/deteriorating. Normal for that to occur with a plastic part??

anyway, assuming this is the cause of the noise, does it pop out or do i have to remove the top of the washer and dig in to machine?
