control panel lights up and door locks. the washer will not fill or go through cycles and the timer count down is off. Replaced door latch and it still does the same thing. I am not sure what to do next control panel? motor? ????

This sounds like the main control unit is bad. Microprocessors hate heat, vibration and moisture which is what is in a washer.
The tech notes inside the lower service panel should show you how to put it into a diagnostic mode. If it will not go into a diagnostic mode it is probably the main control unit.
It is an expensive part so if you buy from this site (no, those of us who respond do not work for APP) and the part does not fix the problem you can replace it.

Main boards do have problems on these units but make sure to check the coin trap near the drain motor for a clog or a faulty water pressure switch.
