The unit had been working fine but today water started running out from underneath. The hose hookups are not leaking outside the cabinet. I don't know how to open the washer unit to check for leaks inside.

Leaks can be hard to diagnose remotely, but I can tell you how to get inside to have a look. At the bottom of the front panel of the washer are two Phillips screws. Once they are removed, the front panel will pull down sharply and then can be removed, allowing access to the inside for inspection. Let me know what you find!
