My frigidaire front load washer immediately stops upon starting. Sometimes I can get it to work if I unplug it or keep turning it on when it shuts off. I first noticed problems when it started leaving the clothes wringing wet. I would do a drain/spin. It wouldn't happen all the time. It then started about every other wash load leaving the fabric softener in the dispenser leaving me to think that it skipped the rinse cycle. I would do a rinse/spin. All this started within the last month (September). This is horrible, when I had a top loader (Whirlpool) it lasted for at least 12 years without any major repairs. I bought this machine July of '06. Please Help I am resigned to either buy something else or go to the local SUDS O MAT.

Well, sorry you are having problems, and now you know why people like me recommend a no frills top loader. The microprocessor controls in your machine are nothing but trouble. And you bought the "better" version of this model!

If you take off the lower panel and look inside on the left you should see a tech sheet that will take you through some troubleshooting routines. See if you can test out for the control board and speed/motor control board.
