The spin cycle won't start automatically. Agitates and drains ok. Replaced lid switch and wasn't the problem. If I open the lid, hold down the switch and spin the barrel by hand it will start going and get up to speed. At that point if I close the lid it will continue and complete the spin cycle.

Thanks. Is it possible its a worn drive block? Or would it not spin at all then?

That is a possibility. You can inspect the top of the drive block by removing the agitator. If your agitator has a fabric softener dispenser, you will also need to remove the metal clip and plastic washer after removing the agitator. Make sure the slots in the drive block are intact as well as the tabs on the drive tube.

Took me a bit to get at this. But it looks ok to me based on your pic. I guess then I should try the clutch?
