Hello,
I have a Kenmore 417.44042400 Front-Load Washing Machine (~ 9 years old). It has started tripping my circuit breaker. I have tried plugging it into numerous different circuits with no luck.

There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when it trips the breaker. Sometimes it occurs when I start a regular wash cycle, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it occurs when going from rinse to spin or when changing between other functions.

I am unable to determine what the problem is, and after reading numerous forum posts, I'm starting to think it might be the timer. Any suggestions for narrowing down the culprit or advise is welcome.

Thank you,
Carl

Noone can give you an accurate assumption on the basis of what you said. Only thing i could say is start disconnecting components on an individual basis and see if it runs in certain modes and the breaker doesn't drip and inspect the complete wire harness would be my suggestion you either have poor wiring in your house and are overloading that circuit being shared by other things in your house or you could even have a faulty breaker that appears good but being tested under load trips. The best of luck
