The washer stops at the same point in the cycle most every time.
This happens whether the cycle selected is permanent press, wash or heavy wash.
The pump is still running at the time the washer stops. There is no water remaining in the machine at this point.
If I advance the timer 1 click, it finishes the cycle and all is well.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated

From what you've explained it sounds like a timer issue because it completes the cycle when you move it. But on these types of models it can be the motor control unit as well i've seen it. Order both parts and return what part you didn't need or i'd recommend starting with the timer first.
