Customer's ge washing machine dead after it fills. Reported filling and draining at the same time. I ran it and all is did was fill and quit. Checked lid switch. ok.

Looked for flashing led on motor. Could not see any. Looked for fuse on right side of cabinet. Actually sliced open all taped wires and did not see any type of fuse. there as none on the schematic. Schematic shows all codes of flashing light. Most common is that you need a new motor.

How is it that companies quality is getting worse with technology.

Tech sheet does not show any type of tests that can be done.

Not sure what to do.

They don't want to build quality parts anymore because they don't make money unless you buy things every 5 years and if you do need parts to repair they make the individual parts so expensive it's cheaper to buy a new unit. It's consumer and investor fraud is what it is they like there sales numbers high instead of building quality products that'll last so their projections to sell stocks to investors is always high it's like Enron bookkeeping at it's finest. Part of the reason this is happening is because congress pushed all the "energy efficient" sales pitch to the american public and people bought into it, now we have inferior products and machines that don't last but hey they saved you $10 a year on your electric bill what a deal, right? Here's some helpful video's to figure out your problem.
