I just replaced the transmission, trunion, upper spin bearing, and tub seal on my Kenmore Laundry center model # 417.97912700. These repairs were done because my old spin bearing was completely destroyed ( worn down to a thin metal layer inside the outer tub). The transmission bearing was also sloppy, as well as the trunion seized to transmission shaft. I had to use a cold chisel to break the trunion away. All listed components were replaced and reassembled. When I put the machine into a spin cycle I now get a loud squeal. It seems to be from the spin bearing. Is hi-temp bearing grease required inside the spin bearing? There was not any instructions included that said to. I also watched videos on ************************.com and watched how to do this and they did not show any being applied.
