Hi, I am trying to help our daughter-in-law get their washing machine to work after a recent move. Here is the problem. When the REGULAR and DELICATE cycles are started, the water starts to fill, but it drains right out just as fast as it comes in. I thought that there must be a syphoning problem, but the machine fills just fine on the PERMANENT PRESS cycle. In fact, we can start filling the tub on the PERMANENT PRESS cycle, and while it is still filling we can rotate the dial to the regular cycle, and it will fill just fine. The cycle progresses normally until it gets to the RINSE part of the REGULAR cycle, and the trouble starts all over again. It fills and drains, and continues to fill and drain. Like I said, the Permanent press cycle runs normally. Can anyone help us out? Thanks so much!

This unit has an electric pump so from what you are describing it seems like the timer is telling the pump to come on during the fill cycle on certain cycles.
I suggest you try replacing the timer and see if that does not fix the problem. If you buy the timer from this site and it does not solve things you can return it.
Good luck, sorry it took so long to get back to you.
