The START/resume control does not respond nor lit when pressed. All the other controls lit when pressed. The washer does not start as a result.

Real common problem because that's the main button that's pushed all the time...........More then likely it's the touchpad which is around $100....but keep in mind the touchpad and main control work together as a team and it may have a problem with the control board as well.......Try the touchpad first making sure your ribbon cable to the main board has clean contacts and is firm onto the board...if you try that and it doesn't do anything i'd suspect the touchpad but keep in mind you may need the control board which is $160 so overall costs may be around $260......good luck

Is there some kind of continuity test for the ribbon cable, and if so how do you do it? Thanks
