I have a Maytag Neptune F L washer, model MAH8700AWW. It displays a E-3 code when it is getting ready to spin. Water is pumped out completely. With out clothes it will spin ok. Basket turns freely. I checked for loose or bad connections at the control board, motor and speed sensor. Installed a new control board, same thing. Amp reading at power cord is about 2 amps for tumble or spin. Motor ohms are at #5 and 3 = 7 ohms, #5 and 1 =7 ohms, #3 and 1 = 10.8 ohms. If motor was bad, wouldn't it draw more amps? Where is the trouble?
