I have a whirlpool top load washer that won't start, the fill light come's on an the lid locked light come's on, then you hear a clicking sound an a few seconds later the lid locked light blinks an goes off but the fill light stays on..an the washer stopped in the middle of a cycle, .

I have the same model (less than 1 year old); it was working fine up until yesterday. I put a load in and the fill light comes on and the lid locks, a few seconds later it makes some clicking noises and unlocks.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was with yours?
