This job is actually easy for most do-it-yoursefers. Follow the link here which will help with MOST of the disassembly. You can probabley figure the rest out if you navigate the pages properly. Good Luck..wrench

Ok I got the clutch off----in doing so I found that two of the three bolts that hold up the transmission were snapped off. Before I replace the clutch could you tell me if those missing bolts could keep the machine from spinning right? Thanks.

Thumbs up Clutch Replacement

Hey Red, I've seen this before. Your washer will not spin with these bolts broken. You should be able to remove the broken bolts O.K. Maybe use an easy out. Replace the bolts, tighten each one a bit at a time, evenly until they are flush with the case. Tighten them up. It does not take a lot of torque. I would say 25-30 lbs. of torque. I would replace the coupler while you are here.Let me know if I can assist again...wrench

Thumbs up

Thanks Bent thats what we were thinking. Sure enough we replaced the bolts and didn't replace the clutch and it works like new. Taking the clutch back for a refund---good idea not to open the package until you're sure.
