Hello, my name is Mike and I hope someone can help.
Okay wife and I just moved into our first house. Hooked up our admiral top load washer and tried it out. The washer will only fill with water and that is it. If you select a higher water level it will fill to that level and then shut off again. The timer will not advance on its own, but even if I advance it manually to another cycle it still lies dormant full of water. I tested the door switch and it tested good. (Continuity between black and grey wires when switch is closed.) I found a post on here stating it could also be the water level switch. They said to jump the violet and tan wires and see if anything happened. I did so and still getting nothing. If I jump tan and pink the washer will fill again. All this info is leading me to believe the timer is bad but without a wiring diagram I don't know how to test it. Help please? I have a meter so I can do any sort of voltage or continuity testing.
