washer leaks water on floor during use , I have to turn water off after each use

Take off the front panel by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the top and the front near the edges to release the clips that hold the front panel to the frame.
It sounds like the problem is that the valve assembly is not shutting down, and the tub is filling and water is overflowing. With the panel off you should be able to see all this, and replacing the valve assembly may fix things.
