The washer fills up and agitates fine ( I think). Then it just stops, doesn't drain, doesn't spin etc. If i turn the dail back to agitate it turns on again and agitates again but only until it hits the spin section of the dial. It also will not turn on at all if I advance the dial past the spin cycle.
I am assuming this is a timer problem but am not 100% positive. I've read a few posts that make me believe it might be the door switch? Before I order a new timer how do I check if the door switch is the problem?
Please help.

Most likely the problem is a bad lid switch (#11 on the diagram). You can bypass the switch after you open the control panel to make sure the problem is there. - The lid switch Part number: AP3100003
