I have replaced the pump and belt because it was very noisey. Was working OK untill the other day. My sister-in-law packed it full of laundry (overloaded to the top) and the now washer won't spin. I think the overload did it in good. Can hear the motor running, fills, agitates, and empties OK. Just no spin. I suspect the transmission is broken but maybe there is a one way bearing or ? that can be replaced? I'm a good mechanic but cars are my specialty. I can figure out most appliances but want to be sure before I sink $200 plus into parts. Plus I see that several special tools are needed. :(

I would start with the thrust bearing. It is about the least expensive part you can replace and is a likely source of your problem. Here is the kit and instructions come with it. Part number: AP4009132
