Model Number: GTF 1040C Brand: Gibson Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello again,
My front load washer let out a very loud clatter during the spin cycle -- sounded like a billiards ball in there. Now, up until the rapid spin cycle, the washer works okay but sounds a bit clunky, like there's a loose pulley, but the pulley's not loose, and when it comes time to spin, it simply agitates like it's trying to balance things and then shuts off. Thanks for your help. Ads By Google Related Models |

Typically with these front load Frigidaire models the rear bearing goes out. In your case it may be because the support structure is also broken. Either way you are probably looking at a replacement as the cost of a repair is just too high to justify the expenditure.
