Washer Repair

Within the last 2 weeks, my washer stutters when I use the hot water setting. It will turn itself off from the stuttering and shaking. If I use the warm setting the stuttering will stop on its own and, it does not happen on the cold setting. We have replaced the water supply hose and the water intake valve. The hot water pipe for the washer is on the same pipe to the wash tub. When I use the hot water faucet, there is no stuttering or shaking.

I would have thought replacing the valve assembly would have fixed this, but since it did not the wiring to the valve assembly, the water temp selection switch or the timer itself all could be the problem.

Given the age of this machine, it is far more than 10 years old I think you should consider replacement. These were good models, but it is time.
