I keep getting the error code 3E on my washer and it stops washing until I open the door and push the start button again. It does this numerous times during most every wash. Seems like its at the 34 minutes to go mark most every time. I can't find the error code and would love to know what the problem is.

Cecoulter, "3E>Over Current is detected. Motor won't turn." Basically the control board is not seeing any motion from the motor. The more common issue is a voltage situation at the outlet, or a faulty main control board Part number: AP4044326
(example only) You'll need to conduct circuit resistance checks at the CN9 and CN8 harnesses with a multi meter, to eliminate the washer motor and wiring as the issue. " Pin #1 and Pin #2 of CN9 Pin #1 and Pin #3 of CN9 Pin #2 and Pin #3 of CN9 the resistance checks should all be the same (3 to 11 ohms). At the CN8 harness pin 1 to pin 3 should read 4.7 ohms and pin 4 to pin 1 and 3 should have infinite resistance. If the resistance readings are in range(+/- 10 %) the motor winding's, tach circuit and wiring are OK.

We tested as you instructed. Here are the results. CN9. Pins 1-3 or blue and red read 2.8. White and red read 2.8 white and blue read 3.0 CN8 readings were orange to blue 4.96. Blue to pink 4.96. Orange to pink 4.68. What do we do next? There were no readings that were infinite.

Cecoulter, Based on your post, The motor windings are in range, it's the tach circuit that has failed(not very common). If you did the circuit tests at the CN 8 wire harness, with the harness unplugged from the control board, orange to pink or blue, should have had "infinite" resistance(no circuit) and blue to pink should have had 4.7 ohms. You may want to re check the resistance readings, if they are the same 4.9 ohms on all tetsts, then the "tach" circuit in the motor has failed, and you'll need to replace it. Part number: AP4044351
Thanks and Good Luck
