I've searched the forums but can't really narrow my problem down.First how do I get a manual to start checking parts. The washer will only spin on light loads;I can turn the drum to get it started;but that barely works anymore.I've seen References to the spin tube;which I think it is;But also brake acctuaters and clutches;etc... I really don't have room to leave it apart to order parts so I hope to order ahead. Any Help is appreciated. Thank-you

Here's the parts document for your washer. The most likely problem is a worn clutch. You can inspect the drive block by removing the agitator. Make sure the tabs on the spin tube and the grooves in the drive block are intact. See photo below. Don't buy your parts from amazon or e bay. In particular, a lot of people buy the $8 clutch from there. It is a piece of junk and will only last for a few loads before the pads are completely worn out, not to mention the whole thing is chintzy and lightweight.

It all looks good except a slight groove in the spin tube.I don't have the tool to take off the spanner nut;will have to order it.As far as the clutch;I'm pretty handy with tools'is this something I can replace?

If it looks good, I wouldn't bother with taking the nut off. Where are you seeing the groove? You can't see the spin tube, other than the two tabs, unless you take the tub and drive block out. The clutch is relatively easy to replace, there is a video link on the link I provided to the clutch. You don't have to take the tub nut off to remove the gearcase for clutch replacement.

I thought the part sticking up thru the spanner nut with the splines was the spin tube. But yea;everything looks fine in there.I'll check for the video;I assume I'll need to access the clutch thru the bottom? Also according to the diagram;there's 5 parts to the clutch;5,6,7,8, and 15.Do I need them all? Thanks so much for your help! Dan

The part with the splines is the agitator shaft. The spin tube is under the drive block, all you can see of it are the two tabs that engage the drive block. You must remove the gearcase to replace the clutch. The agitator shaft will come out with the gearcase. You can replace the clutch assembly or just the band. Depends on the condition of the clutch hub. Both come with a new brake cam driver which you should replace as well.
