Can any one tell me the average life span of a whirlpool washer? I've had mine for about 10 to 12 years and it's starting to give me trouble.

Tammy, You're at the "normal" life expectancy if your washer if it is 10 or 12 years old. Of course it depends on the amount of usage and proper operation of the washer. The life expectancy lessens when the washer is overloaded, miss used, and not installed properly. If the washer has been used less, and properly operated and installed properly, the life expectancy increases. You should start to look for "minor" problems and failures, But nothing that can't be solved or repaired here at AppliancePartsPros.com .
