Model Number: MTW5800TW0 Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Just got my ATC switch. Watch videos for replacement.
Went to machine. Removed 2 sheet metal screws in back top. Panel doesn't budge! I have tried push, pulling lift & swearing - all to no avail. One thread said there were three screws. The only other screw on back near the top is a machine screw with a grounding wire attached. I don't think that's it and but I tried anyway. No luck. Help please. Ads By Google Related Models |

Taking off the back panel should do it for you, see the exploded diagram here.
02-Controls and Rear Panel Parts parts for Maytag MTW5800TW0 - AppliancePartsPros.com Another way to get at it is to slide a think putty knife under the control panel at the edges to release the clips that hold the control panel down. It will life up and back.
