Model Number: Various direct drives Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
I have a couple of Whirlpool motors that I know I could repair if I can separate the motor halves and replace the centrifical switch springs and ring. Since I have done this internal motor repair on several 1 to 5 horsepower 110/220 volt AC single phase motors for pumps, I have sources for these parts.....but these washer direct drive motors are pinned and epoxied together!!
So, before I get after them with a die grinder and cutoff wheel can anyone out there let me know about attempts to cut them open and re epoxy and pin them back together. Guess this is OEM way of making it to expensive to repair a washer so customer has to buy new motor or new washer. Ads By Google Related Models |
