Model Number: Cabrio Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Getting f51 code on cabrio washer. Had a repair man out. He was going to replace the rps sensor but when he removed the rotor he noticed black grime on the magnet. He said it must have gotten hot and that the rotor and stator should be replaced. Does this sound right? It will cost 800 to do this... Our he could sell me a new washer...they sell washers too...not sure if I should trust this. Wondering if I should just replace the rps sensor myself.he did not do any connectivity tests. Just noticed the grime on the magnet.
