washer requires using the reset to start after it fills then works fine, have only used it for 10 loads worked fine for first 6 now needing reset more often ( purchased used and used hard for first 7 loads,1 day, was a repair with new timer )

on the left,load size after large & super plus it says reset, if you turn there, spring loaded, it sounds like you trip a breaker and the washer starts ? coincidence ? is there a thermal switch getting weak?

Sounds like you need a new pressure switch. The load size knob directly controls the pressure switch. The reset selection allows you to change the water level after the washer has started. Say you set the load size to low and after the washer starts, you realize the water level is too low for the amount of clothes you have in there. Simply moving the knob to the next level won't do anything. You must go to reset first, the washer will stop agitating and start filling again to the new level you have selected. Normally, when the pressure switch is tripped, the washer stops filling and starts agitating. Yours stops filling but doesn't start agitating probably due to bad contacts in the switch. When you mess with the knob it starts making contact and the washer starts agitating.
