So the switch tests at 2600 ohms. I'm ordering a replacement switch. The original has 3 connectors with a total of 8 wires. I believe that means I don't need the new wiring harness. (I've read elsewhere that the old harness has 6 wires.)

So that was it. 5 minutes to put the new switch in. I replaced it by removing the top cover instead of removing the boot as described in the service guide. Thank you for all the help.

And thanks to appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the switch Saturday for standard delivery. They shipped it Monday and it arrived today via FedEx.
