the water inlet valve cracked on sprayed water all over the inside of machine. I took out the control board and dryed it off,it was all wet. The inside of the washer is now completely dry. The display panel lights up with mostly random lights and shuts off whenever any function is selected, the washer will not operate. Will simply replacing the control panel resolve trouble or is there likely more damage internally?

I think replacing the control unit should fix this, so go ahead and try it. If you buy the part from this site and it does not correct the problem you can return it.

Sometimes it is almost impossible to dry out the circuit boards, so when the machine starts up it frys the board.

replacing control board didn't work unfortunately, any other things that could cause this?

Darn, sorry that did not work. I really don't have any other good idea, but you can try the diagnostics and testing that is explained in the tech notes you should have seen when you took the top off.
