Hello, we have a Kenmore top loader washing machine. The machine starts, fills with water but the wash cycle is silent and does not agitate. Once the wash cycle is over the machine starts to drain and then spin clothes. Machine goes through all the other cycles except washing/agitating.
We've recently replaced the agitator dogs (they were worn out) and the motor couplings are in good shape. We're not sure what to look for next. Please help. Thank you.

Could be the water level pressure switch , the timer or speed selection switch. After it fills, turn washer off, open control panel and pull the wires from the pressure switch (has the hose connected to it). Jump the violet and tan wires together and turn washer back on. If it doesn't start agitating, it is likely the timer or speed select switch. You would have to troubleshoot with multimeter to determine which.
