I have a Ge Harmony top loading washing machine. It gets heavy usage as I have 6 children!!! Anyway the old machine began making a really loud noise as it was spinning about a week ago. I finally got around to looking at it and the pulsator was completely off its shaft. When I looked at the pulsator the screw had come out and when I turned over the pulsator splines had all stripped off so its definitly dead/not usable. So I'm wondering if this ~10 year old machine should go to the grave yard or should I try to spend ~$160 on a new pulsator and hope thats the only problem(it seemed to be working ok except for that issue).

Thanks

PS its my first post so hope I didn't violate any protocols!!

Hello,

Your decision should be based on the washer condition and price for a new machine. APP sold this part for $134.07

- The pulsator assembly Part number: WH43X10027
Part number: WH43X10027

Is it more likely that its simply the bolt coming loose and the pulsator thus getting loose and destroying the splines or is it more likely something else wrong with the transmission.

There is no transmission in this washer. You may want to check the splines on the bearing housing assembly shaft (#170 at the diagram).

Hello Gene. I am having the same exact problem. The pulsator assembly came loose. I tightened the screw down but it comes loose again during a wash cycle. Should I use Loctite on the screw? Is there another fix? Thank you.
