Got out the agitator. Having trouble separating unit. Any tricks?

Place agitator on the floor, place your feet on opposite sides of the lower agitator and pull upwards on the top section of the agitator. You may have to pull very hard to get it off. If it won't budge, try soaking the whole thing in a tub of hot water for a while and try again.
