Model Number: Affinity Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
Since my last post, did some more investigating (thanks to the dried out manual & schematic found inside the washer) and was able to pull up a E5E code. This is a Frigidaire Affinity front load washer (don't know the model# and the tag on the inside door is white) that was soaked because of a cracked water inlet valve (there was a huge amount of water), valve was replaced and though no leaks the washer will not run. It lets in water and pumps it out but will not spin. A low buzzing noise can be heard and I thought it was coming from the motor but it's not. The motor is not locked up, it turns freely so I'm hoping it's ok. The code is saying control board or speed control board. Any thoughts? Where is the control board and speed control board?

That's correct but without the complete model number of the washer it's almost impossible to find correct replacement parts. The control board is located behind the control panel while the speed control board is located near the motor. Gene.
