I have a top-load Kenmore 70 series washer almost 19 years old that stopped spinning today for the spin cycle. The agitator works fine, but the basket does not spin at all when it is supposed to. I can hear the motor running, louder than usual, when the spin cycle begins, but no action.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because the age of the washer may mean it's not worth repairing.
