I live in an apartment with a washer dryer combo ( washer on bottom and dryer on top). I was using my washer one day and it wouldn't stop filling up with water. Don't know where to start with this one any help is appreciated.

Is it filling to the point of overflowing or does it seem to be draining as it's filling? Is this the 24" model or 27"? (controls below dryer or above?)

The controls are below the dryer. The will not stop filling and will overflow if I don't stop it. There is no draining while filling.

You need to open the front panel to access the air dome and hose on the side of the outer tub to check for gunk that may be clogging it up preventing the water level pressure switch from operating. If there is no blockage, check the hose for cracks/splits/kinks and make sure it's a tight fit on the air dome fitting. The pressure switch is located behind the control panel. Check the hose fitting there as well. If all looks good with the air dome and hose, you may have a bad pressure switch.
To open the front panel of the washer, first remove the transition panel between the dryer and washer by removing the two screws at the top of the panel and then tilt the panel down and pull it out. Then remove the two screws behind the washer top, pull the top forward, disconnect the lid switch harness and lift the top off the washer. Remove the two screws from inside the top of the front panel and lift up to remove the panel. The air dome and hose are on the right side of the tub. To get access behind the control panel, loosen the two screws on the bottom edge of the panel and rotate the panel down. If you have a multimeter, you can check the pressure switch.
