Final spin
Model Number: MAH5500BWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi, I worked on Washers for 30 yrs & never came across this problem. My machine keeps getting stuck on 7-8 minutes, I'll take the drain hose out of the drain & drain a little water out of the machine then it will go into the final spin. Do you think it's a tired pump or a pressure switch. I was giving a little thought to an illegal drain as it is up pretty high.

It sounds like the pump, but because it shuts off at the same time in the cycle it would seem to be the control unit. But I think you will have to change it out to be certain, and if you buy from this site you can return the part if it does not fix the problem.
