Model Number: 110 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
I pulled off the drain pump and found the clog. When I pulled out the hair and fibers there were two metal strips that also came out. This original pump body is molded so it can't be taken apart [P/N fsp 3352492]. The impeller is rubber and old and these strips will probable damage it as they don't want to go back in easily. Are they necessary, and what is their purpose? See attached photo.
