I am trying to find a replacement lid locking mechanism. The one on my washer is not holding the lid in full locked position, and causing the washer to stop running. There is nothing jammed in the lock itself, so I need the replacement. Any suggestions?

Here is the replacement lid latch. Are you sure it's the lid lock? What are the symptoms? Is the lid lock LED flashing? When you start a cycle, does it attempt to lock the latch?

The Lid Lock LED does not flash, and the locking mechanism clicks repeatedly, about once every second or so. In testing the lid lock control pins on the motherboard, the 2 and 3 pins show sporadic resistance when the lid is closed, between 50 and 850 ohms.

Ok, well, you can actually get into that switch and clean the contacts if that's all the problem is. See my web page on that cheap piece of junk.

I will definitely try that. Sounds like a solution to me.
