Model Number: LAT9704AAE Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Washer works very good,but there are small pieces of rubber coming out of the drain hose.This usually happens with the first couple of loads of wash and then clears up. There's nothing in the wash water,though.

That is a mystery. It could be an internal drain hose is in the process of breaking up, so check those out and if they show any signs of wear or cracking I would replace them.
Otherwise you might get a huge flood and that is not a good thing.
