Model Number: WPRE6150K2WT Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
The washing machine is being used at my fathers house and the complaint of clothes full of lint after washing is continuous. My wife checked it out and said all was fine as she could see. The proper liquid detergent, fabric softener etc are all being used properly. Machine was not overloaded and ample water was being used but the clothes had to be rewashed at my home because of the lint problem. Is their a filter that could be causing this problem. We have run out of ideas and have been washing clothes for over 50 years.

Thank you Gene for the information. I remember when doing a wash was simple but apparently with the new HE machines simplicity is taking a back seat ride. The washing instructions from GE require a new learning experience just to wash a load of clothes. If consumers new beforehand about this I doubt they would purchase this machine. My house also has a HE from another manufacturer and besides the now apparently frequent repairs we have not had this problem. A major appliance used to last 10 years or more but now the machines seem to last 1 or 2 years before they need repair. It reminds me of the auto industry where they make more money on repairs and parts than the actual cost of the car.

I agree with you and I'm on your side. It was bad and it's getting worse for you as consumer and for us as repair people. 15 years ago I could buy any repair manual from any manufacturer. Today such manuals kept as a top secret. Guess why?
Gene.
