So my washing machine started leaking water the other day and then the belt breaks.
I got another belt, got it on and tried to pin down the leak exactly.
I notice the shaft between the transmission and wash tub is rust red, by the way. I turned it on, it fills, (smallest load setting) it begins to agitate and nothing. I turned it to spin cycle and waters coming from somewhere in a hurry and seems to be slinging from the bottom of the tub in every direction.
The lighting is bad, it was almost dark so IM going to dry everything up tonight and run a full cycle tomorrow with some lights on it , hopefully I can see whats going on.
Any suggestions here? My personal thoughts are the shaft seal, but one would think it would leak all the time, not just on spin cycle. I thought of the pump, drain hoses ect too, keeping the tub from draining. Thanks, Matt

It sounds like the bad tub seal Part number: 5303279394

If the water comes directly from underneath the tub the seal should be replaced.
