Washer fills and agitates. Washer won't spin or pump-out. Timer continues to advance without stopping (goes thru one complete cycle to the next complete cycle, etc.)

Sounds like a water pump problem. Can you hear the pump come on after agitation stops? If not, check for 120vac across the wire terminals on the pump. If good and the pump won't run, replace the pump. If the pump is running but won't pump out, drain manually and remove hoses to check for obstructions or damage inside the pump. If you don't get 120vac across the pump, replace the timer. To remove the front panel, insert a putty knife into the top groove in line with the lid opening on each side to release the clips, tilt panel out and lift from cabinet. Pump is on lower right side.

You were right! I rechecked the symptoms and found that, due to large water load, I could not hear the spin cycle. I confirmed that the lid-switch was working. The pump was trying to work, but due to a wad of quilt-stuffing, the water couldn't enter the pump. I removed the stuffing and everything is OK. What I can't explain is why the timer wouldn't shut off; it kept circling to subsequent cycles. After I corrected the pump-problem, the timer was fine. Go figure. Thanks

The timer kept going because with no drain, the water level pressure switch was always in the full position, which connects power to the timer motor.
